St Maarten is like this, if you got a friend with a boat, you can take a bus into town, like I did, then end up seven islands away with 10 hours. Scary as a person who CANNOT swim, but it was unbelievably beautiful, no regrets. Some scary parts, there was a yacht speeding that would not slow down, and splashed us and caused our boat to rock like crazy. And at some point the engine died like 3 minutes, and I was sitting there in my rubber floatie. I was the only one on the trip who WOULD NOT remove my flotation device! Not for anyone or anything! But that made my trip more fun, because I was less worried about being tossed into the water. Everyone had a great time, I'm the only one who panicked. But I still got the videos and photos. Ray owns Bigwood on the Boardwalk. Go there and ask him or Thelma how much 4 a day trip :)
